On Art: Letters, 2010–2013
Foreword
Shortly after I began showing my paintings, I began writing about my work. Originally, the following essays were letters of correspondence to two of my colleagues and friends: Marty McCutcheon and Jan Kather. Their responses are an inspiration to me, and I am deeply grateful to them for their profound and thoughtful feedback.
The essays are now arranged chronologically, with their titles accompanied by the date they were first published. I owe enduring debt to Justina Joy Bartoli-Miller for her editing skills and patience and to my children for their artistic inspiration.
